West Boca/Delray High School
Palm Beach County, Florida

TRC Worldwide Engineering, Inc. provided structural engineering design, contract administration and threshold inspection services on this new 2,500-student capacity Design/Build high school. This new high school prototype, located on 57 acres, consists of a two-story modular design concept that supports structure, infrastructure, circulation and curriculum flexibility. The modular arrangement around an internal courtyard allows for single point monitoring addressing safety and security. The school was built to withstand 180 MPH winds per the Department of Education’s Enhanced Hurricane Protection Areas (EHPA).
