McGregor Baptist Church – Worship Center
Fort Myers, Florida


TRC Worldwide Engineering, Inc. is providing structural engineering design and contract administration services on this 5,200-seat, 207,200 square foot worship center.  The Sanctuary is one of many facilities planned for the growing church complex.     

 
Key Structural Components
Primarily steel-framed structure with composite steel floors and open web steel roof trusses
Exterior walls composed of cold form steel studs
Foundation system is a unique cost-effective mixture of 18-inch diameter, 130-foot deep auger cast piles for heavy loaded columns, and shallow foundation system for lighter load columns
Sanctuary roof is supported primarily on (4) 3’-0” square steel built-up box columns
The main truss girders over the Sanctuary are 20 feet deep, span 180 feet, and weight 600 to 800 pounds/foot.
