SR-455 Ashland City By-pass
Ashland City, Tennessee


This local government roadway design project was designed to Tennessee Department of Transportation standards for contract letting. The project is approximately .7 mile in distance and features a totally new alignment based upon an Advanced Planning Report prepared by TDOT. Some of the complexities of the project which required consideration during the design process included: wetlands mitigation, signalized intersections, high percentage of trucks and recreational vehicles, a city park as well as railroad issues. Work elements of the final design included: surveying, traffic design, geotechnical design, hydraulic design, right-of-way and utility design. This project was completed in 2006.
