Revit Structure: Error-free design tool

TRC constantly looks for ways to improve efficiency and accuracy in its delivery processes by adopting advance technology. One such technology TRC embraced recently was Revit Structure software, which improves the way structural engineers and drafters work.

Structural modeling and drafting are some of the repetitive tasks TRC does. Revit reduces errors that are inherent in manual checking and coordination between architects and drafters.

As Revit uses Building Information Modeling (BIM), every view, drawing sheet and schedule is a direct representation of the same underlying database. The building model and all its views are part of the same information system. This means that changes to any part of the structure needs to be made only once. This saves a lot of drafting and checking hours, increasing the efficiency and correctness of the drawings.

With Revit Structure engineers can stay focused on engineering. Revit allows bi-directional transfer of models between analysis and design packages like ETABS and RAM Steel. Thanks to it, engineers can be sure of design changes being automatically reflected in the design drawings.

The design information modifications such as changes in member sizes and structural systems are dynamically updated into the entire physical model. This capability eliminates repetitive tasks done by structural engineers.
